Please Note
Please make sure that you have XP Service pack 1 loaded on your machine, also when you have done any required update on Microsoft Outlook 2003. Outlook 2003 Performs Slowly or Stops Responding When Connected to Exchange Server 2003 Through HTTP
Please you guarantee first that on your computer Windows XP (service luggage 1) are installed for Outlook, 2003 and the following update:
1. Firstly you will need to remove any other 1&1 Exchange profiles that have failed from your computer, this can be done in the Windows Control Panel. To see the existing profiles Click on the "Mail" icon in the Windows Control Panel.

To remove a profile select it and then click the remove button.
2. Now to add a new Profile click Add

3. Give a name for the profile, I have chosen 1and1 Exchange, then click OK.

4. Choose "Add a new e-mail account" click Next.

5. Choose "Microsoft Exchange Server" and click Next.

6. Fill in the following information:
Microsoft Exchange Server mapibe05
User Name exxxxxxxxx

Tip: The Exchange Username can be found in the 1&1 Control Panel in the MS Exchange section.

Please Note: For all UK Exchange accounts the server is "mapibe05"
7. Click "More Settings" After a few seconds a message is displayed. An error will be displayed, this is ok.

Click "OK". A window with Microsoft Exchange Server name and Mailbox name pops up.

Click "OK".
8. Go to "Connection" tab.

9. Check the box near "Connect to my Exchange mailbox using HTTP"

10. Click "Exchange Proxy Settings" and enter exchange.1and1.co.uk

11. Have the option - Check "Mutually authenticate the session when connecting with SSL". Principal name for proxy server should be - msstd:exchange.1and1.co.uk
12. Choose "Basic Authentication" under Proxy authentication settings.

13. Click OK

14. Click Apply -> OK -> Next then Finish
15. Open Outlook 2003 and launch the newly created profile, you will need to login the first time.
NOTE: PLEASE INSURE "exchange\" is written in capitals "EXCHANGE\"
